Exploring Diabetes Type 2: 5/16/10 – 5/23/10

So I know a lot or most people out there with Type 1 Diabetes are still taking multiple daily injections (mdi) which is great if it works for you, but it doesn’t work for me and I will tell you why. So my Dexcom has become my lifeline, I need to know when my blood glucose starts to drop because I drop FAST and sometimes so fast I don’t notice until I am at 40. I am extremely sensitive to physical activity, but it has gotten much much less of an issue since going to a low carb lifestyle. Remembering how much insulin you took or how many carbs you ate the meal before. It is so much faster and easier and more accurate to use a pump. Me and long acting insulin do not agree because I am a very active person and never sit still for more than a few minutes. I put the pump upside down in my pocket so the luer lock is still inside my pocket or I wear it on my ankle in a pouch. However, in this study we see the worse form of “results switch” where an unsuccessful primary end point (autoreactive t-cells) is not reported, and replaced with a better, but still mediocre, result (A1c) which was previously not part of the study at all!

Yet even this is controversial as most studies are inconsistent in results, that is, they have faults in research protocols so that the results are always inconsistent. The bother with setting that target is that completely different experts tell us that quite completely different A1C levels are “traditional.” They tell us that different levels are traditional — but I actually have never heard of actual studies of traditional A1C levels among people without diabetes — until currently. The Diabetes Management and Complications Trial or DCCT, one in all the two largest and most vital studies of people swimming with dexcom g6 diabetes, said that half dozen.0 was a traditional level. But the other key study, the United Kingdom Prospective Diabetes Study or UKPDS, that compared conventional and intensive therapy in additional than 5,zero0zero newly diagnosed people with kind 2 diabetes, said that half-dozen.two is the normal level. However then comes along one of my heroes, Dr. Richard K. Bernstein, the author of the key text of terribly low-carb eating for people with diabetes, Dr. Bernstein’s Diabetes Solution.

You should join the Facebook group for people who use the tslim pump or the groups on TuDiabetes. Foods in the Other Carbohydrates and Combination Food groups are also high in carbs. Everything seems to be determined for them and though not mentioned in the abstract, the three groups were determined by a one-size-fits-all determination. Once the device is removed at the end of the study, the patients can enroll in this follow on study which tracks them for three additional years, looking for adverse effects. Most of this is possibly by spotting early signs in your dog so you can consult your vet. 90 degree sets can fail and not be in your skin and you dont know it until your bg is sky high because you cannot see the cannula going into your skin. Almost two thirds did not know that they are supposed to report side effects from supplements to the FDA. I didnt even know that stuff existed and even if I did there was no way in heck I would be able to figure out or memorize the things my pump has already set in it. When you are looking for slight improvements, or even medium improvements, three people just isn’t enough to rule out random chance.

People stare if you do anything weird or abnormal so I was sort of use to it, but now that I am on the pump I don’t get that at all anymore. Insulin sensitivity. I have it, and a lot of it. My t:slim pump is amazing and I love it, the ease of use is phenomenal and unbeaten by any other pump maker out there, in my opinion. I mean it will hurt so bad I have to sit down or I will pass out or puke and nothing, not one mark. It turned out to be a heap a lot of troublesome to find than I ever imagined. Taking mdi shots does not coincide with my life. Taking shots in general. I had to take shots one day when my last MM pump failed and people stared, I hated it and it brought back all my old memories of the staring. I am a warrior because every single day of my life there is a battle going on. This is more frequent when there is a decrease in physiological reserves in many organ systems. I happen to be very outspoken, more so in prose.
